Hockey score huge media coverage for Championships
Round two of the Women's Australian Hockey League (AHL), was hosted by Queensland at the Cairns Hockey Centre late last month.
As the external Marketing Department of Hockey Queensland, Major League was responsible for all media and marketing promotion of the event. Major League is proud to report almost $70,000 worth of media coverage was generated for the two day event.
Some of the highlights of the coverage included Channel 7’s filming of the Queensland team arriving at the Cairns Airport, ABC Grandstand’s live interview with Australian and Queensland Captain Madonna Blyth, and also The Cairns Post’s six page event lift out, complete with colour photos, player interviews, team profiles and coaches’ comments.
