Have-a-Go Fun Days Go!
Major League is on a mission to get more kids active and enjoying the social and physical benefits of playing team sports.
In conjunction with long-term clients Softball Queensland and Hockey Queensland, Major League came up with the idea to hold "Have A Go! Fun Days" in Queensland communities.
"Have A Go! Fun Days" are enjoyable community events that provide an obligation-free opportunity for children of all ages to try playing various sports. Families are encouraged to participate in fun sporting games and enjoy free face painting, a sausage sizzle and a jumping castle.
If visitors enjoy any of the sports being demonstrated on the day, they are invited to sign up to join short participation programs without having to make a large investment or commitment to an entire sporting season.
These events attract up to 600 participants, with many kids signing up to participate in the upcoming 'Hook in2 Hockey' or 'Simple Softball' programs.
Major League is working with committed supporter Quest Community Newspapers to develop a further four events to be held in other newspaper distribution areas in the coming months.
