Major League Generates Netball Sponsorship Interest
The Queensland Firebirds team is experiencing soaring popularity and it's the perfect time for sponsors to capitalise on their rising status.
The Firebirds have flourished since Major League developed and managed their successful 2008 rebranding campaign, which is currently a Queensland finalist in the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Awards for Marketing Excellence for Brand Revitalisation.
The team rebranding coincided with the inauguration of the ANZ Championship, which also saw the Firebirds adopt the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre as their home venue, and One HD and Network Ten significantly raise the sport's profile as a spectator sport by delivering games into Australian lounge rooms each week.
Major League is currently working with Netball Queensland to seek sponsors to align with the Queensland Firebirds and Netball Queensland in 2010 and beyond, and has successfully engaged Intercontintental Hotel Group (IHG) as the organisation's accommodation partner.
