Major League Signs SCAT
MAJOR LEAGUE SIGNS SCAT
Major League Marketing has recently signed a management deal with Brisbane-based jazz band ‘SCAT’.
SCAT is a 4 piece jazz combo, specialising in original gospel music and jazz standards. This unrivalled act has picked up a 2004 American Gospel Music Award and when you see them jam you’ll know why.
SCAT brings together Queensland’s best musical talent with Jeremy O’Connor on double bass, Trent Bryson-Dean on drums, Chris Poulsen on keys and Craig Burnett on vocals.
“Their energy, humour, crowd interaction and musical expertise is fast earning them a reputation as a great feature act and function band,” said Major League, Managing Director, Jason Greenhalgh.
“I have been involved in the entertainment and events industry for the past 8 years and I believe these guys have something special.”
“Besides being highly qualified and talented musicians, they are real good blokes,” stated Greenhalgh.
2005 saw the band tour throughout the USA & UK where their refreshing performances received much praise and future tour offers.
They have recently sold out the Brisbane Jazz Club and are hosting the major ball at the Australian Gospel Music Festival over Easter 2007. They will also look to record two new CD’s this year.
